Troubleshooting Loading, Stale Data, and Errors

Start with the visible state instead of repeatedly refreshing every panel. Loading means the first request is still pending. Refreshing means older content remains while a newer request is checked. Empty means the request succeeded with no matching result. Unavailable means usable data could not be confirmed. Stale means the last confirmed result is being shown while a newer result is pending. Try these steps 1. Confirm the selected symbol, timeframe, date, account, and active workspace. 2. Wait for the first load or warming state to settle. Do not treat a skeleton, cached quote, or old marker as a new signal. 3. Use the affected card’s Retry or refresh control once. 4. If the issue is symbol-specific, reselect a validated symbol and wait for the new context to finish. 5. If several cards fail together, check the top-level connection and plan state, then reload the Terminal once. 6. If the request timed out after a write such as a preference change, reload and verify the current value before submitting again. Common outcomes A valid empty result can occur when no positions, posts, events, or signals match the selected account, date, or filter. A plan-required or connection-required message should be handled as an access or setup step, not as a data outage. A percentage may remain blank when the platform cannot confirm a valid day baseline; this is safer than deriving one from an arbitrary history range. When to contact support Open a ticket at /help/tickets/new if the same issue remains after the checklist, if a confirmed account or symbol is repeatedly wrong, or if an action’s final status is unclear. Include the workspace, symbol, timeframe, account context without sensitive identifiers, visible message, approximate time, and whether a fresh reload changed it. Never include passwords, access tokens, private keys, or full payment details. For chart-specific recovery, see /help/articles/terminal-data-chart-signals-guide. For settings and connections, see /help/articles/terminal-settings-connections-guide. For the full Terminal state map, see /help/articles/terminal-user-manual.
