Terminal Dashboard Guide

DASH is the Terminal’s overview workspace. It is designed for scanning the current state before you move into a focused chart, community, or settings workflow. Desktop layout The desktop dashboard is arranged in columns. The left area contains account and watchlist information, the center area contains the main chart and related history tools, and the right area contains news, calendar, signals, and analysis cards. The exact cards visible depend on your enabled modules, plan, connection state, and the current symbol. Mobile layout On mobile, the same dashboard content is split into compact sections so that only the selected section occupies the screen. Use the visible tab or section buttons to move between Positions, Signals, and Analysis. Scroll within the active section; a mobile panel can be taller than the viewport. Ticker and symbol selection • Use the ticker field to search for a symbol. • Select a validated result rather than relying on an unfinished entry. • The active symbol is shared by chart, signals, analysis, news, calendar, and options-related cards where those cards support the instrument. • After changing symbols, allow the new cards to finish their loading state before comparing values with the previous symbol. • If the symbol is rejected, check spelling and asset support, then choose a result from the suggestions. Account and balance cards The account card can show total value, cash, buying power, currency, account name, connection source, and the time of the latest confirmed refresh. A connected account can still show a temporary unavailable state if the provider has not returned a usable snapshot. Treat values as account-specific. Do not compare a personal broker balance with a simulated account balance or assume that a public quote is the same as the mark used for an account card. Use the account refresh control when you need a new confirmed snapshot. Watchlist and scanner The watchlist stores symbols for quick comparison. Add a symbol through the watchlist search, select a suggestion, and remove it from the watchlist control when it is no longer useful. A scanner can provide a separate filtered view; its results may load later than the watchlist and can be empty when no symbols meet the selected conditions. If a watchlist row shows a dash, wait for its first quote or refresh the dashboard. If one row remains unavailable while others update, verify the symbol and check whether that instrument is supported during the current market session. Positions, Signals, and Analysis Positions summarizes open simulated or connected-account positions and their current state. Signals presents the available signal cards for the active symbol. Analysis contains deeper chart and options context, including premarket levels and supported order-entry tools. These panels can have separate loading and permission states, so one ready panel does not prove that every other panel is ready. Supporting cards The dashboard can include news, calendar, a live-stream preview, P&L history, and journal access. Open a card’s detail action when available rather than assuming the compact card contains the full history. Journal and P&L Use Journal to review dated notes and saved trade context. P&L history uses the account or broker source associated with the selected view. If the history is empty, confirm the selected period and account before treating it as a no-trade result. Common recovery • A whole dashboard is loading: keep the tab open briefly, then reload once. • One card is unavailable: use that card’s Retry action and check its own status text. • Values belong to the wrong symbol: reselect the intended symbol and wait for all symbol-bound cards to settle. • A control is disabled: review plan, permission, and connection messages before troubleshooting data. • Mobile content seems missing: scroll the active section and use the dashboard section tabs; desktop columns are intentionally stacked on mobile.
