Terminal Account, Positions, and Trading Guide
This guide covers account and position surfaces inside the Terminal. The available controls depend on whether you are viewing a simulated account, a personal broker connection, a qualifying Trial account, your plan, and the current account state. Account context first Before using a trade-related control, confirm: • The account or broker name shown on the card. • Whether the account is connected, unavailable, removed, or read-only. • Whether the selected symbol and asset are supported. • Whether the action is simulated, tracking-only, or eligible for order routing. • Whether the Terminal shows a current quote and a confirmed position snapshot. A connected personal broker can support tracking, metrics, and journaling without allowing orders to be routed through that connection. A valid ZUBYINTEL Trial account can have different simulated or trading permissions. Do not assume that seeing an account balance means every action is enabled. Positions panel Positions lists open positions for the active account context. A row can include symbol, side, quantity, average price, current mark, unrealized P&L, and status. Use the row details and account label together; a public quote or another account’s position is not a substitute for the position row. The first load can show skeleton rows. An empty state means the selected account has no confirmed open positions. An unavailable state means the Terminal could not confirm the account snapshot. If a position was just opened or closed, the card may briefly show a transitional state while the provider confirms it. Order history Open Order History to review submitted and confirmed order activity for the selected account. Check the order status, side, quantity, price, timestamp, and account context. A request that was sent is not the same as a filled order. Wait for an accepted, rejected, cancelled, or confirmed status before treating it as final. Signal modes and automation The Positions area can expose signal-mode controls and automation settings when your account and plan allow them. Read the current mode label before changing it. A mode change can affect future simulated or eligible account actions; it does not rewrite prior orders or positions. Trims, closes, and confirmation A trim reduces part of an open position. A close exits the remaining position. Before confirming either action: 1. Check the account name and symbol. 2. Check side and quantity. 3. Review the displayed quote, estimated result, and any warning. 4. Confirm that the action is intended for the selected account. 5. Wait for the result and then verify the position card and order history. If a provider response is delayed, do not submit duplicate actions just because the screen has not changed. Refresh the position and order history after the action reaches a terminal status or the interface tells you to reconcile. Risk controls and P&L alerts Settings can contain daily loss, position-size, and stop-loss preferences where your plan and account support them. A P&L alert can tell you that a configured threshold was reached; it is not proof that every broker order has completed. Verify the account position and order status after any alert. Options and analysis actions Analysis can show an options chain or supported order modal for the active symbol. Confirm expiration, strike, side, quantity, bid or ask context, and account before submitting. If the chain is empty or unavailable, do not guess a contract from a stale screen. Recovery checklist • No positions: confirm the selected account and allow the first snapshot to settle. • Wrong account: switch the active broker or account in Settings, then return and wait for hydration. • Stale P&L: refresh the account snapshot and use the position’s own account context. • Order still pending: do not duplicate it; check Order History and provider status. • Action disabled: read the plan, permission, connection, or account-state message. • Provider unavailable: use the Terminal’s retry path and contact support if the state persists.
